Unlocking Opportunities - Your Key to a Healthy School Nutrition Program

On August 16, 17, and 18th, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE), in cooperation with the John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition (JSI) and theSchool Nutrition Association of Massachusetts presented a three-day conference focused on the many aspects associated with the new regulations for the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.

2010 Summer Institute

On August 17, 18, and 19th, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) and the John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition (JSI) presented the 2010 Summer Institute. This three-day conference focused on the best practices in school nutrition operations, management and marketing.

School Wellness in MA Symposium 2009

On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition presented the School Wellness in Massachusetts Symposium. This day-long symposium was dedicated to school wellness and coordinated school health and featured nationally recognized speakers who presented best practices and strategies for implementing change. Additionally, local schools and community partners shared success stories, available resources, and offered approaches to evaluating your school wellness policy.
